কিউবার বিরুদ্ধে মার্কিন হুমকির প্রতিবাদে-যৌথ বিবৃতি

ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট পার্টি (মার্কসবাদী), ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট পার্টি, ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট পার্টি (মার্কসবাদী-লেনিনবাদী) লিবারেশন, অল ইন্ডিয়া ফরওয়ার্ড ব্লক এবং রেভোলিউশনারি সোশ্যালিস্ট পার্টি কর্তৃক এই যৌথ বিবৃতিটি জারি করা হয়েছে:

কিউবার বিরুদ্ধে মার্কিন হুমকির প্রতিবাদ করা হচ্ছে 

আমরা সমাজতান্ত্রিক কিউবার বিরুদ্ধে মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের জারি করা হুমকির তীব্র নিন্দা জানাচ্ছি এবং তেল সরবরাহ বন্ধ করার সিদ্ধান্তের প্রতিবাদ করছি। এটি আন্তর্জাতিক আইনের পরিপন্থী এবং রাষ্ট্রসঙ্ঘ সনদের লঙ্ঘন।

ভেনেজুয়েলার ওপর হামলা এবং প্রেসিডেন্ট নিকোলাস মাদুরো ও তাঁর স্ত্রী সিলিয়া ফ্লোরেসকে অপহরণের পর, মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র এখন কিউবার বিরুদ্ধে অগ্রসর হচ্ছে। যে দেশগুলো কিউবাকে তেল সরবরাহ করছে, তাদের ওপর নিষেধাজ্ঞার হুমকি দিচ্ছে তারা। মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ধারণা যে কিউবাকে অর্থনৈতিকভাবে শ্বাসরোধ করে তারা দেশটির স্থিতিশীলতা নষ্ট করতে পারবে।

গত ৬৭ বছর ধরে মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্র সরাসরি সন্ত্রাসবাদী হামলা, অর্থনৈতিক অবরোধ এবং এমনকি ফিদেল কাস্ত্রোকে হত্যার প্রচেষ্টাসহ বিভিন্ন উপায়ে কিউবাকে অস্থিতিশীল করার চেষ্টা করে আসছে। এই সব প্রচেষ্টাই ব্যর্থ হয়েছে। মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্ট ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্প ঘোষিত 'জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা কৌশল ২০২৫' (National Security Strategy 2025) সমাজতান্ত্রিক কিউবাকে লক্ষ্যবস্তু ও অস্থিতিশীল করার আরও একটি প্রচেষ্টা। কিউবার জনগণ বীরত্বের সাথে পূর্ববর্তী সমস্ত প্রচেষ্টা প্রতিহত করেছে এবং আমরা আত্মবিশ্বাসী যে তারা বর্তমান আগ্রাসনকেও রুখে দেবে।

কিউবা একটি বীর দেশ যারা ধারাবাহিকভাবে আন্তর্জাতিক সংহতির পক্ষে দাঁড়িয়েছে এবং প্রয়োজনের সময় ডাক্তার ও চিকিৎসা কর্মী পাঠিয়ে বিভিন্ন দেশকে সহায়তা করেছে। তারা অত্যন্ত উদারভাবে তাদের চিকিৎসা দক্ষতা এবং ভ্যাকসিন বৈশ্বিক দক্ষিণের অনেক দেশের সাথে ভাগ করে নিয়েছে। এমন একটি মহৎ দেশের ওপর আক্রমণকে মানবতার ওপর আক্রমণ হিসেবে গণ্য করা উচিত।

ভারত সরকারের উচিত এই মার্কিন হুমকির নিন্দা জানানো এবং কিউবার সাথে সংহতি পুনরায় ব্যক্ত করা। সমগ্র আন্তর্জাতিক সম্প্রদায়কে কিউবার পাশে দাঁড়াতে হবে এবং মার্কিন আগ্রাসনের বিরোধিতা করতে হবে।

আমরা দেশের জনগণকে কিউবার সার্বভৌম অধিকার রক্ষার দাবিতে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হওয়ার আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি।

The following is the joint statement issued by the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation; All India Forward Bloc and Revolutionary Socialist Party: 

Against US Threats to Cuba

We strongly condemn the threats issued by the United States of America against socialist Cuba and denounce its decision to block the shipment of oil. This is against the international law and a violation of the UN Charter.

After its attack on Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, the United States is now proceeding against Cuba. It is threatening countries that supply oil to Cuba with sanctions. The US believes that by strangling Cuba economically, it can destabilise the country.

The US has been trying to destabilise Cuba for the last 67 years, using various means, including open terrorist attacks, an economic blockade, and even attempts to assassinate Fidel Castro. All of these have failed. The National Security Strategy 2025 announced by the US President Donald Trump is another attempt by the US to target and destabilise socialist Cuba. The people of Cuba have heroically resisted all earlier attempts, and we are confident that they will resist the current aggression as well.

Cuba is a heroic nation that has consistently stood for international solidarity and assisted countries by sending doctors and medical personnel in times of need. It has readily shared its medical expertise and vaccines with many countries in the Global South. Attacking such a noble country should be considered an attack on humanity itself.

The Indian government should condemn these US threats and reiterate its solidarity with Cuba. The entire international community must stand with Cuba and oppose US aggression.

We urge the people of our country to rally in defence of Cuba’s sovereign rights.
