Dear Comrades,

Which profound grief, we are informing you that Com. V. S. Achuthanandan, the only surviving member who founded the CPI(M) after resigning from the National Council of CPI, has died today at 3:20 pm in Thiruvananthapuram after a prolonged illness.

We will be observing a mourning period of three days and are asking the State Committees to fly the Party Flag at half-mast for the next three days.

সকল রাজ্য কমিটির উদ্দেশ্যে

কমরেডগন,

আপানাদের সকলের অবগতির উদেশ্যে অত্যন্ত ভারাক্রান্ত হৃদয়ে এ সংবাদ জানাচ্ছি। সিপিআই’র জাতীয় পরিষদ থেকে পদত্যাগ করার পরে সিপিআই(এম)’র প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্যদের মধ্যে শেষ জীবিত ব্যক্তি কমরেড ভি এস অচ্যুতানন্দন’র মৃত্যু হয়েছে। দীর্ঘদিন অসুস্থ ছিলেন, আজ দুপুর তিনটে বেজে কুড়ি মিনিটে তিনি মারা যান।

আগামি তিন দিন আমরা শোক পালন করব।

দেশের সকল রাজ্য কমিটিকে আগামি তিন দিনের জন্য পার্টির পতাকাকে অর্ধনমিত রাখার আহ্বান জানানো হচ্ছে।
