সিপিআই(এম) নয়ডায় সংগ্রামরত শ্রমিকদের পাশে দাঁড়াচ্ছে

সিপিআই(এম)-এর সাধারণ সম্পাদক এম. এ. বেবির নেতৃত্বে একটি প্রতিনিধি দল নয়ডার সেইসব শ্রমিকদের সাথে দেখা করেছেন, যারা নয়ডা শ্রমিক আন্দোলনের সময় গ্রেপ্তার হয়েছিলেন এবং প্রায় এক মাস জেলে কাটানোর পর জামিনে মুক্তি পেয়েছেন। এই ভুক্তভোগী শ্রমিকদের কাজ থেকেও ছাঁটাই করা হয়েছে।

শ্রমিকরা প্রতিনিধি দলকে জানান যে, পুলিশ হেফাজতে তাদের ওপর শারীরিক নির্যাতন চালানো হয়েছে, মিথ্যা প্রমাণ সাজিয়ে ফাঁসানো হয়েছে এবং তাদের আন্দোলন দমন করার উদ্দেশ্যে একাধিক ধারায় মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে।

এই প্রতিনিধি দলে ছিলেন পলিটব্যুরো সদস্য আর. অরুণ কুমার ও তপন সেন, রাজ্যসভার সাংসদ ভি. শিবদাসন, সিপিআই(এম) দিল্লি রাজ্য সচিবালয়ের সদস্য রাজীব কুঁয়ার ও পি. ভি. আনিয়ন, এবং নয়ডার স্থানীয় নেতা রাম সোয়ার্থ, গঙ্গেশ্বর ও রাম সাগর।

এপ্রিল মাসে শ্রমিক আন্দোলনের পর, 'ফ্যাবস্ট্রাক্ট ক্লোথিং' (Fabstract Clothing) নামক পোশাক কারখানার ৫০ জন শ্রমিক ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন আন্দোলনে যোগ দেন এবং প্রতিনিধি দলের কাছে তাদের অভিযোগ পেশ করেন। প্রতিনিধি দলটি অটোমোবাইল কোম্পানি 'ভাইব্রাকোস্টিক ইন্ডিয়া' (Vibracoustic India)-র শ্রমিক প্রতিনিধিদের সাথেও বৈঠক করে। পোশাক কারখানা এবং 'মাদারসন' (Motherson) উভয় কোম্পানির শ্রমিকরাই প্রতিনিধি দলকে জানান যে, কর্তৃপক্ষ বা ম্যানেজমেন্ট নিয়মতান্ত্রিকভাবে শ্রমিকদের ইউনিয়ন গঠন এবং সংগঠিত হওয়ার অধিকার প্রয়োগে বাধা দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করে। আর যারা এই আন্দোলনে নেতৃত্বের ভূমিকা নেন, তাদের প্রায়ই কাজ থেকে ছাঁটাই করা হয়।

শ্রমিকদের এই দমন-পীড়ন, গ্রেপ্তার এবং ছাঁটাইয়ের ঘটনা স্পষ্টভাবে প্রমাণ করে যে শ্রমিক অধিকারের ওপর ক্রমাগত আক্রমণ চলছে। তা সত্ত্বেও সংগ্রাম অব্যাহত রয়েছে। শ্রমিকদের ঐক্য, সংগঠন এবং সম্মিলিত প্রতিরোধই এই ধরনের আক্রমণের বিরুদ্ধে সবচেয়ে বড় জবাব।

শ্রমিকদের সাথে সাক্ষাতের পর সিপিআই(এম) সাধারণ সম্পাদক এম. এ. বেবি পুলিশের হিংসা এবং শ্রমিকদের বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা মামলা দায়ের করার জন্য উত্তরপ্রদেশ রাজ্য সরকারের তীব্র সমালোচনা করেন। অন্যায়ভাবে জেলে বন্দি থাকা শ্রমিকদের সাথে দেখা করার অনুমতি না দেওয়ায় তিনি কর্তৃপক্ষের নিন্দাও জানান। তিনি অভিযোগ করেন যে, তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ জামিনের আবেদন করতে পারছেন না এবং সঠিক আইনি সহায়তাও পাচ্ছেন না; এটি তাদের মৌলিক অধিকারের লঙ্ঘন। তিনি আরও বলেন, "গত কয়েকদিন ধরে আমাদের সাংসদ ডঃ ভি. শিবদাসনের মাধ্যমে আমরা জেলে বন্দি শ্রমিকদের সাথে দেখা করার অনুমতি পাওয়ার চেষ্টা করছি। জেল কর্তৃপক্ষ আমাদের জানিয়েছে যে উচ্চপদস্থ কর্মকর্তারা আমাদের অনুরোধ প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছেন। এটি অত্যন্ত দায়িত্বজ্ঞানহীন আচরণ এবং এর অর্থ হলো সরকার কিছু লুকাতে চাইছে।" সিপিআই(এম) শ্রমিকদের পাশে থাকবে, তাদের আইনি সহায়তা দেবে এবং তাদের সংগ্রামে সমর্থন জোগাবে বলে তিনি প্রতিশ্রুতি দেন।

A CPI(M) delegation led by General Secretary M.A. Baby met workers in Noida who had been arrested during the Noida workers’ movement and were released on bail after spending nearly a month in jail. These victimized workers have also been dismissed from their jobs.

The workers told the delegation that they were subjected to physical assault in police custody, framed with fabricated evidence, and booked under multiple charges in an attempt to crush their movement.

The delegation included Polit Bureau members R Arun Kumar and Tapan Sen, Rajya Sabha MP V. Sivadasan, CPI(M) Delhi State Secretariat members Rajeev Kunwar and P.V. Aniyan, and Noida-based leaders Ram Swarath, Gangeshwar, and Ram Sagar.

Following the workers’ movement in April, 50 workers of the garment factory Fabstract Clothing joined the trade union movement and presented their grievances before the delegation. The delegation also met representatives of workers at Vibracoustic India, an automobile-sector company. Workers from both the garment factory and Motherson informed the delegation that managements routinely try to prevent workers from forming unions and exercising their right to organize, while those who take up leadership roles are often dismissed from their jobs.

The repression, arrests, and dismissals faced by workers clearly demonstrate the continuing attacks on workers’ rights. Yet the struggle continues. Workers’ unity, organization, and collective resistance remain the strongest response to these attacks.

Speaking after meeting the workers, CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby criticised the Uttar Pradesh state government for unleashing police violence and lodging false cases on the workers. He also condemned the denial of permission by the authorities to visit the workers who are unjustly kept in jails. Some of them are not able to even apply for bail and get proper legal assistance. This is a denial of their fundamental rights, he alleged. For the last few days, we have been trying to get the permission to visit the workers in jail through our Member of Parliament Dr. V. Sivadasan. The jail authorities informed us that the higher authorities have denied our request. This is completely irresponsible and means that the government has got something to hide, he alleged. The CPI(M) will stand with the workers and help them with legal assistance and support them in their struggles, he promised.
